every setup is 100% custom and can be absolutely any theme that you can think of. we will capture timeless portraits of your sweet baby's expressions and personality, then we will let them have fun and celebrate by getting messy with a themed cake smash. Finally, we will finish with a warm bubble bath (this is usually baby's favourite part). it's a fun, full-service experience for babies and parents to enjoy together!

There will be an opportunity to get a few family portraits and/or sibling portraits on one plain backdrop (of your choosing) prior to the Cake Smash.
The majority of the session is definitely focused on baby and celebrating their milestone, but while you're here I'd like to give you an opportunity to update your family photos are well.
This family part of the session will be quick and very minimal.
My studio is equipped with anything and everything that is needed for your session, all you need to bring is baby and their Smash outfit.
For baby, my prop room is stocked with hundreds of props, wraps, little outfits and accessories in every colour you could think of.
For parents, my studio is equipped with a fully stocked change table, spacious washroom, and even snacks.

You don't need to have your theme decided prior to booking, but I will need to know approximately one month before the session to give me time to source the supplies.

Cake Smash sessions are usually around 1.5 hours in length to allow ample time for baby to become comfortable in the studio and give us their truest expressions. We also want to be able to fit in multiple outfit changes (and bum changes if needed) without feeling rushed or stressing out baby. My goal is for everyone to be completely relaxed, mom and dad included!
Sometimes at this age babies can be a little hesitant around strangers so I always want to make sure there's time for them to get to know me and become comfortable in my space. Nothing is forced, ever!
