looking for expecting mamas that are due between october - december 2025
I've had this project on my heart for many years now, and I'm finally ready to dive in and give it the attention it deserves. Working in the prenatal and postnatal field for the better part of 20 years (photographing hundreds of expecting mamas and newborn babies), I have always held a soft place in my heart for those couples that have struggled or continue to struggle with infertility, and those who have tragically lost pregnancies or infants.
I've had an image concept in my mind for many years now of a huge honeycomb with dozens of different babies sweetly posed sleeping in the individual sections, with many of the sections remaining empty to symbolize and honour those children that are dreamed of and hoped for, and those precious ones whose time here on earth was cut short.
This idea obviously requires me to photograph MANY babies in a very specific setup, which is a massive undertaking, and why it's taken me so long to get this off the ground. Well, I'm ready to give it a shot and see if I can make my vision a reality.

as many different ethnicites and skin tones as possible
what you'll receive
a complimentary newborn mini session (baby only, no parent/sibling poses)
the individual posed image of your baby as a honey bee plus 2 additional images of your choice (chosen from an online proofing gallery)
the option to purchase additional digital images
faq
when will the session take place?
If selected, I will have you notify me as soon as baby is born, and we will schedule the session sometime around 10-12 days old.
when will i get my images?
Your proofing gallery will be delivered within one week of the session and once your images are selected, edits will be completed and delivered within one week.
what are the terms of agreement?
If selected, you will be required to sign a model release allowing me to use the image(s) of your baby and derivative works of art including your baby as pertains to this project in future promotional, editorial or stock material (including but not limited to my website, photo competitions, publications, and digital resale.)
is there a cost?
All participants will be required to submit a fully refundable $100 deposit as an act of good faith to schedule the session on my calendar. In the event that you do not show up, or are more than 20 minute late (considered a no-show), your session will be cancelled and you will forfeit your deposit. Otherwise, your $100 will be fully refunded upon delivery of your selected images. Alternatively, you can use it to go towards the purchase of additional images above the 3 that are included.
who can attend the session?
In an effort to keep these mini sessions focused and organized, I will only be allowing 2 adults to accompany each newborn. If you have other children, I kindly ask that you arrange for childcare for the duration of the session.
how long will the session be?
The session should be no longer than 60 minutes. I will start with the honey bee pose and use the remainder of the time to get additional poses and setups of your baby (with neutral backgrounds and props) so you have a few to choose from for your additional images.
