Mack and Ngaire got married last weekend, and the day was just perfect. Their ceremony and reception were at Carmen’s Banquet Hall and we did their formal photos at RBG.
Ngaire says … “Our wedding was a complete dream come true. I’ve never felt more happy, I had a smile I couldn’t wipe off even if I tried. The day went perfectly.”
Read on to see some of the happy couple’s thoughts about their big day …
Mack talks about choosing his buddies …
“The best man was easy, Kyle Camarro has been my best friend, more like brother, for as long as I can remember. Dave Webster, Mike Balivia, Matt Winarsky and Spencer Thomas were all easy choices. They have been a big part of Ngaire and I’s life and I couldn’t have done it without them. Johnathon Irvine and James Irvine are Ngaire’s brothers and were an important part of our big day. ”
Ngaire talks about her lovely dress that was purchased at Best for Bride …
“My dress was the perfect match for me and my dream for the big day. The only gown I could ever picture myself in was a ball gown, so when I tried this dress on I instantly fell in love. It had an incredible tulle bottom, with little twirls in it, and a beautifully beaded high waisted bodice, with a moderate train. I’ve never felt more like a princess in my life. ”
How Ngaire chose all of her girls …
“We had quite a large bridal party, but I found it so incredibly hard to choose. Mackenzie and I have such a large group of friends. My maid of honour was my best friend Alannah Mah, we met in senior kindergarten and have been attached at the hip ever since. My bridesmaid Melissa Franceschin is my other lifelong friend who I also met in SK. She has been one of my biggest supporters throughout the years. Melissa, alannah and I will be friends for life, that is something I know for sure. Devi Macintosh is actually my younger brothers girlfriend and from the moment I met her she has become the sister I never had. There isn’t anything she wouldn’t do to help me. Alysha Morrison was actually my younger brothers close friend and I stole her away. She has been a very close friend to me and my brother, and has always been there to support our family. Crystal Baiocco has been my friend since high school and as the years have passed we have gotten closer and closer. She is also a nurse just like me, and we just completely get each other. Natalie Kemp and Claire Kemp are Mackenzies sisters. It was very important to the both of us to have our brothers and sisters be apart of our big day, so naturally these two beautiful girls stood by me. I am incredibly lucky to have such amazing woman in my life. “
Ngaire and Mack decided to do a first look (which I love), and here is what Ngaire had to say about it …
“We had our first look at the Royal Botanical Gardens Rock Garden. Melissa had already placed Mackenzie in the perfect spot to capture our first look. I walked down with my bridal party and we were waiting around the corner for Melissa’s go ahead. I was shaking I was so nervous! My older brother had my arm to support me. I walked around the corner alone and as soon as I saw him it was like the stress melted away. He looked incredible. His floral shirt and pink bow tie just popped! I gave him the biggest hug and kiss and kept thinking to myself ‘this wonderful man is going to be my husband’.”
And Mack’s perspective …
“We took our pictures before the ceremony at the RBG. We arrived in separate limos so that we could do a first look in the gardens. Melissa brought me down to where she wanted our first look and had me turned with my back to the bride as she came in. Ngaire put her hand on my shoulder and I slowly turned around and it was just an amazing sight. As soon as I saw Ngaire it took a lot of my nerves away and made the day feel real!”
I also asked Ngaire what her favourite moment of the day was …
“I think my favourite moment of the day was our first dance, I felt like Cinderella dancing with my Prince Charming. Just being able to have a few minutes together to chat and laugh and enjoy the moment. It was really special. But our family dance with our daughter was something I’ll never forget either. She really wanted us to have a special dance together and seeing her face light up when we all hit the dance floor is something I’ll never forget. Our first dance was to John Legend- All of me. It’s been Mackenzie and I’s song since we started dating. The way he sings about his never ending love for his wife we just really related to. It’s such a beautiful song.“
Some advise from the bride …
“Don’t let little things that are out of control dictate your mood for the big day. The weather won’t always be perfect, things do go wrong. But you need to take the day for what it is, and just enjoy it. You only get one day and trust me it goes by way too fast. Be in the moment with your spouse, and let the love grow.”
