This little sleeping beauty was quite possible the BEST newborn I’ve ever had in the studio. Finished this session in record time and Charlotte never even made a peep. Not to mention … get a load of those lips and lashes … she’s simply perfection!!
I asked mom how she felt when she held Charlotte for the first time …
“There is truly no greater love you will feel; I know this now. Both my husband and I were so emotional when we held our daughter for the first time. That moment when our daughter looked up at us, putting faces to the voices she had been listening to for months made us melt”
Charlotte is such a chill baby that she felt no urgency to make her debut into the world.
Mom says … “Charlotte was definitely on her own schedule when it came to her birth. After 42 weeks of gestation, the decision was made to be induced. Although the induction went well, buy the time it came to start pushing, Charlotte decided to turn transversely, I couldn’t believe it! After weeks of being in the perfect birthing position, she had to turn in the final hours. Attempts were made to try and reflip her, however in the end we ended up in the operating room having a c section. Although having a c section was not part of my ideal birth plan, we are truly grateful for the wonderful staff at St. Joseph’s hospital and for our midwife, all of whom made our birthing experience as peaceful as it could be”
