Chris and Lexy, what can I say. My cheeks literally hurt from laughing so much ALL DAY LONG at your wedding. I will never forget you guys!! Please don’t be strangers!! Actually … can we be legit friends? lol!
I asked Lexy if she had any advise for other couples who are nervous/anxious about their wedding photos…
“Trust in your photographer; trust that although you may have staged poses in your mind, let the photographer’s creativity, knowledge and experience get you the real photos you want, the candid shots, the angles that make YOU look good, not what makes everyone on the internet look good.”
These stellar Jimmy Choo pumps are from Saks Fifth Avenue.
Lexy describes finding her gorgeous gown…
“I was told before I went shopping, “when you know, you know”. After being at the first boutique for over an hour, trying on more than 30 dresses and not “knowing” I started to worry, “what if that feeling doesn’t come for me and I just pick the one that looks the best and is a good price”. Then I went to Michelle my Belle in Waterdown. I tried on one gorgeous lace dress and thought, “ooookay, this could be the one” then tried on another satin one and was immediately torn. The lady helping us told me to close my eyes, she then placed the lace dress overtop of the one I was wearing and said, “now open them” I looked at the dress, she took it away, one more look at the dress I was in compared to the lace one and my mother, mother-in-law-to-be, my sister and myself all started crying – and I said “no, this is it, this is the one”. When you know, you know.”
Classy invites were from one of my personal favourite vendors … Minted.
Lexy describes seeing Chris for the first time on the big day…
“When we first saw each other, all the stress, planning, worrying about money, guest lists, little touches, etc., melted away. Honestly, it was just us in that moment and everyone/everything else was a blur. That’s actually the photos/video I’m most looking forward to seeing.”
Lexy describes her favourite moments…
“One of our favourite moments was when we were finished doing the photos with the bridal party and were told to walk around the golf course as we were being filmed/photographed. It was just us in that moment to let it all sink in, like, ‘wow, we’re actually married’, ‘wow, there are 180 people upstairs waiting for us, to share this day with us’ and ‘wow, I’m freakin’ starving’.”
What song was your first dance and why?…
“At Last – Etta James. Yes, it’s old fashioned, even cliché. But it fit for us. Chris and I have known each other for almost 10 years and have been on and off since. We both dated in between but there was always something missing, always something that didn’t quite click. At last, we figured it out.”
