Tell us about your dress:
Hillary – “My goodness, was that dress gorgeous. I knew as soon as I saw it I had to try it on. Once I put the dress on, I just knew in that second this was the dress I would marry my husband in and it would suit my vision for the entire day so perfectly. I wanted my dress to flow, have lace and suit a rustic romantic setting and it out did it self haha.”

Describe the moment you saw each other for the first time:
Hillary – “When I saw Marcus for the first time on the wedding day, my heart was pounding, and I had the biggest smile on my face. We did a first look, and when he turned around and saw me, he told me I was beautiful, and my heart melted. When I saw him, he looked so handsome I could hardly take it. He was a dream to look at, and I felt like the luckiest woman in the world.”

Tell me about your bridal party and why you choose them to stand up with you:
Hillary – “I had a rather large bridal party, but each one of them is so important to me that I couldn’t not had them up there with me.
Emily, my MOH. She is my baby sister, and my best friend. I knew when I got engaged, she was the person I needed to have directly by my side while I married the man of my dreams. She is there for me in ways that no one else has been aside from my husband haha. I love her beyond words.
Kasia, my other MOH haha. We have been friends since high school, and she has been a constant rock in my life. She has been there with me through the good and bad times and we always come out on the other side stronger because of each other, and she is an amazing friend.
Mallorie, my big sister. Someone who has always looked out for me, and reminds me to calm down and enjoy life. She brings me so much joy and laughter and is one of the reasons Marcus and I met each other.
Alannah, my dear Alannah. She has quickly become one of my closest friends, that I can go to with anything. She is my favourite drinking partner and I know that she and her husband who was also a groomsmen, will be in Marcus and I’s life forever. Alannah is a life long friend, and it is an honour to know her.
Katie, my sweet Katie. She always makes me laugh, and is my fiercest protector. Katie, has been team Marcus and Hillary from day one, and continues to bring such joy, happiness and laughter into our lives.
Dai, the ying to my yang. Dai is one of my oldest friends and has been like another big sister to me. She is always looking out for me, and we have been to more concerts together than we can both count. I knew I had to have her stand by my side on the biggest day of my life.
Kristina, one of the most genuine people I know. She would give you the shirt off her back. I knew I had to have Kristian stand with me, because she is the definition of a true friend. We have shared countless moments of laughter and tears along our years of friendship, and I would not change any of it for the world.”

What was one of your favourite moments of the whole wedding day:
Hillary – “My two favourite moments of the day was firstly, our first dance song. Over our engagement Marcus and I would play that song in the car and sing to each other. Then when we danced as husband and wife and sang to each other, I was tearing up. My second moment of the day was the surprise dance video my husband and my two sisters created for me. It was the absolutely best wedding present I could ever ask for. The fact that Marcus did this for me, just shows how he would go to any length to make me happy.”

What was your first dance song and why did you choose it:
Hillary – “Marcus and I chose, 11:11 by the Arkell’s the acoustic version as our first dance song. Although,  this is not a typical “love song”, it was our love song. The song reminded us both about the night we first kissed and how we had known each other for many years, but we always knew from the beginning we would end up together. When we had the personals shout out from the Arkells before our first dance, it just made it that much more special.”

How would you describe your overall wedding day experience:
Hillary – “Trying to describe the overall wedding day experience is so difficult. It was honestly the most beautiful and perfect day. Marcus and I had the best day of our lives and it was exactly how we envisioned it. We had the people who we love the most in the world stand by our side and come and share in this milestone of a day with us. We cried, we laughed, we hugged everyone and we danced the night away. It was a day we will never forget, and one that we will always look back on with the biggest smile on our faces.”
