We celebrated another milestone today.  My little girl is growing up so fast right before my eyes!  This afternoon we took the plunge and went in for her first haircut.  I love her long curly locks, but her bangs are in her face all the time and she was sporting some very stylish long pieces in the back, but just on the sides (our term of endearment for these beauties was “mullet wings”). They just had to be dealt with …

So camera in hand, we went to see Sarah (one of my 2013 brides) at the best salon in town, Maison Fritz.  Sarah was fantastic with Aylah, who did pretty well for the most part, but started melting down towards the end.

Here’s the before and after.  I feel like I brought in an 18 month old and left with a 4 year old.

Of course I kept a lock of her hair … a perfect little curl from the beloved mullet wing, lol.

She wanted to bring her bunny for some moral support, and she clutched his little neck the entire time …

Bunny in one hand and Daddy’s finger in the other.  She was such a brave girl!

At some points it actually appeared like she was enjoying herself.  Though that was short-lived …

Once we got to the bangs she had had enough.  The cell phone kept her occupied for about two and half seconds before the crocodile tears made an appearance.

But after Daddy rescued her from the chair of doom she was back to her happy chipper self, waving and smiling at everyone in the salon.
