I’m extra excited to share this engagement session!!  I’ve been doing quite a few engagement sessions recently, all at beautiful locations, but mostly with the same naturey feel.  When Lisa and Graham mentioned that they wanted a more urban setting I got really excited!!  I’ve shot in downtown Hamilton many times before, but not recently, and never at golden hour.  I hope I speak for Graham and Lisa as well when I say that we had a great time yesterday exploring the city core.  Downtown Hamilton really is a lovely backdrop for photos!!  We made some stops at Gore Park and Jackson Square and roamed all the nearby streets and alleys.  I hope this session inspires other couples to think outside the box when choosing their photo location. : )

I just have to comment on this next shot.  I had a vision of getting a very “city-ish” shot with Graham and Lisa kissing in the middle of a busy intersection.  Well obviously to do this safely we had to do it at a crosswalk, time it properly, and find somewhere safe for me to stand as well.  Okay, so we’ve found our spot, now we just have to wait for the light …
… right before the light turns red for the oncoming traffic a fire truck pulls up … PERFECT!!!  What a great backdrop!!  I can’t even tell you how excited I was that Lisa was also wearing red pants … couldn’t have planned it that well if I tried.  After we got the shot Lisa and Graham scurried back to the sidewalk and all of the fireman whistled and cheered while honking the big horn.  So much fun!!  I could not be more in love with this shot!
