My little girl turned double digits this year! Happy 10th Birthday Aylah!!
We celebrated her with an out of this world space party. 🙂
I’ll try to link everything best I can for anyone who wants to recreate my ideas…
Backdrop – Amazon
Astronaut costume – Amazon
Jetpack – DIY from soda bottles, felt, ribbon and electrical tape
Planet beach balls – beachballs.com (and then my mom added her own custom paint job)
Stars – Amazon
Meterors – Amazon (I spray painted them grey and added a stone texture on top, then stuffed them with a grey balloon)
…and everything was hung with fishing line from these hooks.
These invites were made on thin wooden boards and designed so that the rocket moves up and down by pulling on the string looped around the back.
Favour bags – Amazon
Space prints – Amazon
Space puzzles – Amazon (for big kids) and (for little kids)
Space wrapping paper – Amazon
Mini “lego” astonauts (not actual LEGO) – Amazon
Clear plastic boxes – Amazon
Galaxy stress balls – Amazon
3 hour galaxy slideshow I had running on the televisions Star/nebula projector – Amazon
Tabletop Game:
Wooden rockets – Amazon
Planet decals – Amazon (the start circle and “start” and “finish” words were made on my Cricut)
Foam dice – Amazon
Instructions and gameplay designed by me. 😉 All printed materials were created using this clipart from Etsy.
Balloons are mostly from Bargain Balloons, with the exception of these ones and these ones from Amazon (which were noticeably cheaper in quality. Aylah’s custom tee shirt was made by an Etsy shop that is unfortunately no longer listed.
Galaxy backdrop is from Amazon. Astronaut figurines and planet stress balls on cake are from Amazon. Black cups for popcorn are from Amazon. Tiny disposable jello spoons from Amazon. Cookie cutters for rockets and stars are here … and the astronaut is just a gingerbread man cutter. 😉 I got lucky and scored these space themed board games to use as prizes at Costco for $15 each. Lucky find!

Our girl will also be turning 10 and we will be doing an astronaut theme as well! Thank you for sharing your ideas.
