August 8, 2012
I’m a little late with this blog post, but I’m gonna blame it on the long weekend throwing off my schedule, lol.
Adam and Jessica met while teaching at the same school … and even though Jessica’s roots were in the US and Adam’s roots were here in Canada, their relationship blossomed and distance couldn’t keep them apart! Even though I’ve only known them for a short time, it’s clear to see that these two lovebirds are meant to be together … by the way they glance at each other, by the sense of humor they share, and even by the comments made when their other half wasn’t even around.
I also just have to say that the wonderful people I met this past weekend – friends and family of Jessica and Adam are by far some of the most genuine and kind people I have had the pleasure of working with. I can’t even count the times that people went out of their way to make sure the knocked up photographer was taken care of … their parents, the bridal party and even just guests at the reception. You all warmed my heart and it was an honour to have been a part of this amazing day!
Now onto the good stuff … the pictures …
Ladies, prepare for some shoe envy … aren’t these just fantastic??
Jessica, you are just so adorable! LOVE this shot!
Look at those lashes … absolutely stunning!!
Jessica also wore a very special heirloom broach … here is Mom pinning it on …
Then we headed to the guy’s room and got some shots of them getting ready.
With everyone all dressed to the nines, we headed to Melrose United Church in Hamilton for the ceremony.
I love this shot of a proud mother walking her baby girl down the aisle!
After the ceremony family and friends gathered outside the church to congratulate the newly married couple with the waving of flags. It was humbling to see the representation of 2 countries joining together in one perfect union.
We then headed to the waterfront for some quick formals. What a good lookin’ bunch they are!!
Seeing as Jessica is American, Adam insisted that she embrace her new ties to Canada and get a picture with this handsome moose. Hehe.
Jes, your big brown eyes just love my camera!! You make my job too easy!!
The cocktail hour and reception was held at Harbour Banquet Hall in Oakville. It was my first time shooting at this venue, and Jessica did an AMAZING job planning all of the decor and details. My jaw literally dropped when I walked into the room. See for yourself …
The candy table was a HUGE hit!! Guests of all ages were indulging throughout the evening …
Cheers to a long and happy marriage!!
And then the party really began when professional dancers came in and entertained the socks off us!
And last but certainly not least, the anniversary dance … this part had me and my second shooter grinning ear to ear! All of the married couples were asked to join on the dance floor for a special dance and one by one they all took their seats to determine who had been married the longest. This adorable grandma and grandpa have been married for 59 years … aren’t they just the cutest??
When the song ended everyone couldn’t resist a group hug! Melted my heart!!
Congratulations again Adam and Jessica!! I will never forget your awesome day … it was truly a pleasure!!
xoxo
