Big congratulations to Marika and Jeff on their beautiful new addition Ailsa!  I had the pleasure of photographing Jeff and Marika’s wedding last year and I’m always so happy to be able to share additional milestones with my clients. 🙂

I asked Marika how she felt when she held Ailsa for the first time …

“It’s hard to put into words.. overjoyed, excited, relieved, amazed.. Even though you know for all those months you will be holding your baby in your arms, it’s still very surreal.”

I was also curious how they decided on her unique and beautiful name …

“I wanted her name to represent her background and had always liked the Scottish name Ailsa (her middle name is Dutch and her last name is Indian). When Jeff and I were talking about names he liked it right away and we settled on it quite early.”
