Well … my first annual Valentine’s Contest was a great success and I thoroughly enjoyed reading all of your awesome proposal stories.  Many great stories came in, and I want to thank everyone for taking the time to enter the contest … but, there can only be one winner.

AMBER & JEREMY!!!

And since I know everyone will be asking me to share it, with their permission … here’s Amber & Jeremy’s story …

Jeremy and I went for a hike on Thanksgiving weekend, at Webster’s Falls.  We walked to the peak of Dundas and there was another family there taking pictures.  We were admiring the beautiful day with them, talking about how lovely his camera was (huge Canon camera – I was jealous, taking pictures with my phone).  Jeremy seemed nervous, I asked him if he was alright.  He is scared of heights so I wanted to make sure he didn’t want to head back.  He said “yes, I am fine!”  Next thing I know a train is going past down below, and the man taking pictures says, “Check out this great picture, I got the train coming out from the trees.”  I was looking at his camera at this time and Jeremy yells, “Hey buddy, here is a great picture for you!”  As I turned to Jeremy, he was down on one knee, and asked me if I would marry him!!  Our entire special moment was caught on camera by this wonderful family from Ajax!  I was so very pleased!  Jeremy told me after, he looked nervous because he thought he had lost the ring!!!  I was so happy our moment was captured.  The man from Ajax sent me all of the pictures the next morning.

Oh boy … that story just gives me warm fuzzies all over!  Hehe.
