I just love this little family, and I’ve had the honour of photographing them through all of their exciting milestones over the past number of years.
Well now Evan is a big brother and the Gateman’s welcomed baby Audrey into the family.

I asked Dawn how big brother Evan feels about his new sister …
“He can’t quite say Audrey, so he ends up calling her baby “Aud-ie”. What is even cuter however is his fascination with her umbilical cord. During the first diaper change he watched all of a sudden blurted out “Baby Audie has a pinecone”. And now whenever she gets changed he wants to see her pinecone. He likes to collect pinecones when playing outside and at the park, and I guess to him her cord looks like one. We figure he will be pretty sad when all she has is a normal belly button.”
