I’ve been shooting Tracey and Nelson’s family for a few years now and they’ve become very near and dear to my heart!  Congratulations on the arrival of your new princess Madalyn!!  I can’t believe how fast big brother Myles is growing … he is so sweet with his new little sister!

I asked Tracey to describe how she felt holding Madalyn for the first time …
“I just felt such pure joy (and relief that she was perfectly healthy). My first born was taken to NICU right after I delivered via c-section, so aside from a quick kiss and ‘I love you’ I didn’t get to hold him for about 3 hours after delivery. So with my second she was in my hands (and heart) even before the cord was cut. It meant so much more to me because I missed it with my son.”

“I was told Hamilton Public Health now offers home visits by lactation consultants which I may use in the near future to answer a few questions.  Having someone come to your home is much easier than trying to get to a hospital clinic with your new baby. I also always take advantage of the Ontario Early Years Drop-In centers and Mother Goose programs. It’s a great way to meet some other moms and kids, ask questions and it’s totally free. They have lots of toys and activities for the kids to enjoy.”
