Charlotte and Chris got married last Friday and it was an absolutely perfect day!! Despite some scary clouds for a brief while, the weather held out for us beautifully. All of the details of this wedding were just stunning and I absolutely LOVED the character of all of the locations they chose!
Chris and Charlotte both got ready at the Sherton Hotel in downtown Hamilton.
Specifically Charlotte got ready in room #302 … I’ve shot at this hotel many times before but this was my first time in this glorious room. Seriously … brides … book this room … it’s huge and bright and PERFECT for getting ready photos!!!
The guys suits were from Newmans.
A little bit about the dress …
“I purchased my dress at Davids Bridal – the designer is Melissa Sweet. I changed the sash that came with it and got the beaded belt from Sash and Bustle in Toronto (designer Elizabeth Fowler) – pearl and blush stones. My dress had champagne, dark silver embroidery and a bit of beading at the centre of the 3d floral embroidery.”
Hair and Makeup done by Raquel at Best Face Forward.
Charlotte’s STUNNING engagement ring is from Fantasy Gemart and the wedding bands were from Laura Tedesco Jewellery.
All of the gorgeous fresh florals were done by Jade at Mint & Magnolia.
These gorgeous shoes are Rachel Simpson.
Charlotte’s classy earrings were from Statement Grey.
I asked Charlotte to describe her favourite moment(s) of her big day …
“My favourite was doing our first look/reveal photos. Having time to spend together alone and have a beer together in our lounge seating before the ceremony, relax a bit and open our gifts we had for each other.”
Beautiful seating areas provided by Warehouse 84.
String lights, linen overlays, wine barrels, chairs and vintage plates and cutlery provided by Kayware.
The reception was held at the charming Spice Factory.
And the romantic ceremony took place at Whitehern.
Jonny Blonde food truck catered this AMAZING spread!! Some of the best wedding food I’ve ever had!!
These delicious donuts were provided by Grandad’s Donuts and Donut Monster. DELICIOUS!!!
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“You and Me by Penny and the Quarters (song from the movie Blue Valentine). Christopher chose it as he really liked it. It was different and the lyrics described us and was perfect. Loved the bluesy, raspy feel of the song”
And here’s a little word of advise from Charlotte to all you other brides out there planning their big day …
“Take time for yourself during the planning process-get facials, massages etc. And try to the best of your ability to do what you want and not to listen so much to others opinions, cause you will get lots!”
It was such a pleasure working with you guys! Congrats again!!
Enjoy your honeymoon in Banff!!!
xoxo,
Melissa
