Courtney talks about her dress:
“My dress was a boho Stella York design. It has multiple layers of ivory floral lace overlaying on top of a moscato gown, with an A-Line silhouette, V neck and back with a beautiful train. When I tried it on, they fluffed out the train and when I looked back at it – it made my heart flutter and I knew it was the one. I love the timeless look of a veil and blusher but didn’t want to take away from the dress. I went to a vendor who recommended an English Net veil, who then customized my veil into a waltz length to complete the Courtney Bride 2.0 look. The material was shipped from London England, which humbles me since I got engaged in London, England.”

Courtney and Dylan describe seeing each other for the first time on the big day …
Courtney: “Oh my gosh where do I begin? I was emotional the whole week because 10 years of friendship and 9 years of relationship had led to this very day. I was nervous and super excited at our first look but all worries melted away when I saw him. Time in space just stopped and I feel that we were able to breathe and have our moment to remember why we were here today and how this day was all about us.”
Dylan: “I was nervous too – I heard her footsteps and familiar laugh sneak out while I waited anxiously. Tap tap and bam there she was, just her and I, very personal moment which we wouldn’t have had to enjoy if we did the traditional church aisle first look!”

Courtney describes some of her favourite moments:
“Other than saying I do in my family church that my Gramma and my Mum got married in…. we were able to go to Gage Park, which was spectacular! Due to weather and timeline crunch Dylan and I let go of the thought having our wedding photos there but by Melissa’s magical powers and the luck of the weather holding off we were able to get some really great shots!!”
Some words on their amazing bridal party:
“We picked 8 amazing best friends for each side that have been with us from the beginning of this relationship and are some of our oldest friends. We were a little nervous regarding how big our wedding party was but each one of our wedding party member has been a pillar to our relationship.”
Courtney: “Standing with me was my maid of honour and little sister Justine. My best friends for elementary school, Taryn, Vivian, Alana have grown up with me and become my closest friends. My best friend Kim and I met in high school and haven’t stopped making jokes since. Selina and I met in college and it felt like we known each other for a lifetime. My cousin Rebecca, she has always been my compass and helping me in the right direction. Last but not least, Dylan’s little sister and my new sister in law Kayla.”
Dylan: “Matt was my best man because we share so much in common and he makes me laugh so damn hard all the time, he’s such a great guy. My brother Kyle & Courtney’s brother Ben we’re my groomsmen along with my group of friends from highschool, Luke, Trev, Nate and AJ. Last but not least, my good friend Patrice from University has always had my back so what better time than my wedding day to have him have it again.”

How would you describe your overall wedding day experience?:
“Heart fluttering. Seeing our vision come to life after time and time of planning. Overwhelming. The flood gates of emotions just go through you when you stand back for a moment to see all your family and friends that came to celebrate your happiness in marrying your best friend. Everyone was happy, talkative, interactive and proud – it was so much joy! This one is a common description but the day does fly!”
