I asked Hannah’s mom if there was any story behind the name that they chose for her and I loved her answer to much I just have to share it …
“Choosing a name for our daughter was a no-brainer. Had she been a boy…we had a much more difficult time. But the name Hannah was easy. Hannah is an old family name of my great great aunt…a woman who saw hard times…lived through many wars…and worked hard to create a happy life for herself and her family. She never had children of her own but treated everyone else as if they were her own. She is a woman that YEARS after her death is talked about whenever our family gets together….whether it is about the cookies she taught us to make…the pastry crust…or her love of family and the memories we have all made with her. Long before we ever found out we were expecting…we had always said that if we ever had a daughter, she would have to be named Hannah after such an extraordinary woman. And so when we found out we were expecting a girl…Hannah it was.”
