August 25, 2014
Graham and Lisa are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet! They love each other SO much … it was a complete honour photographing their special day this past weekend! We met up with the guys at Graham’s parents’ house where they were getting ready. Watching them try to tie their ties was very entertaining … hehe!
The girls got ready at the Sheraton Hotel in Hamilton. I’ve done getting ready photos at this hotel before, but never in the “Hamilton Suite” … it was GORGEOUS!!!
Lisa and Graham’s rings are made from rosewood … so unique … and so entirely them!! I adore this shot!
Lisa found lots of personalized touches on Etsy … one of my favourites being the custom embroidered hankies.
This amazing headpiece was another Etsy find … it suited Lisa perfectly! I love all of the natural smiles … now that is a girl that is EXCITED to get married!! : )
This is a journal that Lisa and Graham have been writing to each other in for quite some time … I’m sure the entry for August 23, 2014 is and always will be a very special one.
Philpott Memorial Church is were Graham and Lisa first met, so what better place to also do their first look. Just minutes before the ceremony started, they got to spend a few special moments together just the two of them …
Graham was emotional before Lisa even got out of the limo … it was the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen! (also notice his personalized handkerchief … came in handy!)
This next one was an extremely pleasant surprise when I was going through their pictures to create this blog post. Notice both moms peeking through the window … how CUTE are they!!! My amazing second shooter Barbara got this shot. In the picture before it the mom’s weren’t there, and the one after they are scurrying away … it was one split second … Barbara ROCKS!!
After the ceremony we braved the scary looking clouds and went to Bayfront Park for formal pictures. This bridal party was amazing to work with!!
Honestly, could you guys be any cuter, I mean c’mon …
LOVE the yellow and gray … just LOVE!! And it’s like those little grass flowers were put there just for us, hehe.
The personal touches carried through to the reception space as well. Lisa and Graham chose to hold their dinner at the Waterfront Centre, which is a favourite venue of mine.
A friend of the couple drew this bicycle built for two and had it digitized to use for the wedding … pinterest is going to love this!!
This cake topper might be the most clever thing I’ve seen to date … the couple’s last name is White … enough said.
Loved the place cards too … I could go on and on about all of the details in this wedding … Lisa, you’re amazing!!
Boating is a love of Lisa’s family, so some pictures out on the docks were a must have.
Lisa gathered with some friends for a group shot …
… but what was happening on the other side of the lawn was equally, if not more awesome, lol.
I absolutely love photographing first dances right after the grand entrance in a room with lots of windows. The natural light is so romantic and dreamy!
Graham and Lisa, thank you SO much for allowing me to be a part of your day! It was so lovely getting to know you both … I truly feel like I’ve made new friends and not just clients. I wish you all the happiness in the world!!
xoxo, Melissa
