Trying to get caught up on blog posts today … wish me luck.
Kicking it off with Ken and Mallory and their engagement session at Gage Park.
Mallory describes the proposal…
“I can truly say I was NOT expecting my proposal. It was Dec. 7th at about 11pm at night. I had come home from work at about 930pm and instantly put my pjs on. I had to start some baking as we were heading to Ottawa the next day for family Christmas. I had been mentioning to Ken all week how amazing it would have been to tell my side of the family in Ottawa that we were engaged with a cool game or a hidden msg etc. Even though I knew it wasn’t going to happen as I had no time to prepare this game or hidden msg! I remember turning to Ken while making batches of Pumpkin Cookies and Rice Krispie Squares asking why he was still awake as he is early to bed due to early morning wake ups. It was then that Ken said no reason just wanted to help bake. He then walked away and I turned back to the stove. Ken then called me into the bedroom to help him with something and as I rounded the corner there he was on one knee with a ring box in his hand and his phone recording the whole thing in his other hand as he asked me to be his wife. All I could muster up was the, butter is going to melt!! Once my brain switched from baking to holy smokes I’m engaged I went over to Ken and said YES!”
