I asked Mikaela to tell me about how Derek proposed …
“Derek had won a weekend getaway through his work to Niagara on the Lake. We stayed at a fancy hotel with beautiful gardens all around it and it had a very rustic feel. One night after we got back from dinner he asked me if we wanted to take a walk outside. We walked down a path and sat down on a bench with pretty flowers all around us and were just enjoying the evening and then out of the blue he said he had to ask me something and then proposed 🙂  It was a big surprise!”
