about the location
Van Wagners Beach is located right on the border of Hamilton and Burlington and offers a beautiful backdrop for family photos. In our condensed session we will aim to get images including the large rocks, the delicate beach grasses as well as dipping your toes in the lake at the end if you wish. There is ample free parking on site and leashed dogs are welcome. We will be working at a quick pace so I recommend you wear nice neutral slip-on sandals so we can toggle between shoes and bare feet quickly and easily.
Your session fee includes a fast-paced 15 minute session with your immediate family only (single household). Furry family members are also welcome.
You will receive ALL images from your session (minimum of 20 images), delivered via an online gallery with digital download that will remain posted for one year. Your complete collection will be delivered within 2 weeks of the session date.
The session fee also covers any permit/rental fees for the session, and reserves your time slot on my schedule. For this reason, session fees are non-refundable.

Your furry family member is always welcome at your family session. No matter the level of training (or lack there of), there are always ways to incorporate them into your family photos. I love dogs and am very comfortable working with all shapes and sizes of them.

I aim to document authentic connections, through expressions, physical touch, and lots of laughing.
My in-home family sessions aim to capture mainly candid interactions through fun poses and family activities. I will tour your home prior to the session to scout out the best locations (mostly based on light) and we will plan out your session from there
I like for us to have at least one activity planned for the family to do together. Some great ideas are baking cookies, having a pillow 'fight' with lots of tickles (in cute pajamas of course), or having a picnic out on the lawn.
In-home sessions are an easy way to include family pets as well as easy outfit changes if you desire.

Extended family sessions are a great way to capture portraits of many different groupings such as cousins, adult siblings, or grandparents with all of their grandkids.
My extended family sessions are structured slightly differently to ensure we achieve the results you are looking for. They are longer in duration, and do require a bit more planning and coordination, but I will walk you through each step of the planning process.
These are memories that will be passed down through generations!
