Last weekend I had such a great time with Katrina and Steven celebrating their wedding day! These two are so easy-going and such a pleasure to work with … honestly I’m kinda sad the wedding is over cuz now I don’t get to hang out with them anymore, lol.
We started the day with a quick visit to Patrick’s Salon in Caledonia where the girls were getting their hair and makeup done.
Then we went over to Katrina’s parents’ house where the girls were getting ready. I LOVED shooting on this gorgeous country porch … it was the perfect backdrop for all of Katrina’s details.
Steven is a tow truck driver, and his truck is his baby … so since it was already parked in Katrina’s backyard we made sure to get a surprise picture for Steven of his bride with his beloved truck. : )
The guy’s were getting ready at Steven’s buddy’s house …
Steve wore Katrina’s grandfather’s cufflinks … and yes that’s a truck on there … just perfect!!
The ceremony and reception were held at the gorgeous Beverly Golf and Country Club in Copetown. I absolutely love this venue … gorgeous inside and out!!
One of my favourite details of this wedding was the escort cards. All delicately hung on a rustic barn door, each card was accompanied with an ornate key … what a lovely keepsake for their guests!!
The decor was spot on for Katrina’s fall/country theme … burlap, twine and warm fall colours filled the reception room. It was so cozy and inviting!!
Aren’t the backs of these bridesmaid dresses to die for?
Just on the outer edge of Beverly is this big beautiful barn set between paths and picket fences … it was AWESOME!!
Katrina brought along her flannel sweater for the golf cart ride (since it was quite chilly last Saturday) … and we decided to throw it on over her dress for some of the pictures. I think it fits in with her country theme wonderfully! Doesn’t hurt that it perfectly matched her red heels too …
I’m SO glad Katrina was game for climbing into the tall grasses because these shots are definitely my faves from the day!!
And these cows .. OH THE COWS … I was dying!!
After formals we went back to join the rest of guests for the grand entrance and first dance.
And after the first dance we snuck outside for just a couple more golden hour shots. Thanks for braving the cold Katrina!! : )
Congratulations Steve & Katrina … it was an absolute pleasure working with you!!
Enjoy every minute of your road trip honeymoon … and travel safe!!
xoxo, Melissa
