Meet Esmeralda and Merv … the cutest pair you ever did see!!
I’ve been wanting to do pictures like this for quite some time now, and this month the stars finally aligned for me and it worked out perfectly. It all started with 3 great friends. One happens to be a pretty alright photographer (moi), another just recently had the most beautiful baby girl Esmeralda, and the other has an adorable and cuddly grey tabby kitten named Merv.
Newborns = adorable!
Kittens = adorable!
So what does a newborn plus a kitten equal?
Well you tell me …
And since I’m sure I’m going to get a million questions/comments about how this was done, I figure I may as well just give you a behind the scenes look right now.
First let me say that the baby and kitten were never even in the same room together. Esmeralda was perfectly safe during her session, as was Merv during his. Both models were dreams to work with!
Some of these images are composited from 4+ images, but below I’ve shown 2 just to give you the idea.
Unedited images are on the right and resulting composite image is on the left.
Quick shout out to The Original Photoblocks Props … your green bean poser made the perfect kitten body shape.
Happy Friday everyone!!
xoxo,
Melissa
